Stroke patients may be admitted to Cross-Point’s Stroke Rehabilitation Programme, either directly from the acute care hospital or from home or any other care setting. For patients in formal care settings (i.e., hospital, nursing home) an evaluation by Cross-Point’s clinical staff is required. Clinical evaluations are carried out within 24 hours of the referral phone call. For patients at home, a referral from a primary care physician may be required before an evaluation can take place in Cross-Point’s outpatient clinic.
Cross-Point Programme FOR Stroke Survivors
Cross-Point Medical and Rehab Centre is committed to assisting stroke survivors in their return to the community. We understand that rehabilitation does not end once an individual leaves the hospital. A full continuum of services is available to the community.
Constraint Induced Movement Therapy
Constraint Induced Movement Therapy (CIMT) is a therapeutic intervention that assists individuals in increasing the functional use of their hemiplegic arm.
Payment
Treatment of stroke and other mobility conditions is costly and demanding. So whiles Cross-Point empathizes with patients and their relatives on the nature of bills that they may have to cover, we also believe that no cost is high enough to get oneself and/or a loved one back on their feet to continue doing what they do best for the good of the family. Consequently at Cross-Point we emphasis high adherence to payment plans and fulfillment of clients’ financial obligations.
The cost of treatment at Cross-Point is very competitive as patients and families are saved the cost of travel to and from review, physiotherapy, speech therapy, the cost of home care nurses’ visits (day and night) etc not forgetting the inconvenience patients and their carers or loved ones are saved from. Ultimately the cost of treatment at Cross-Point is cheaper than the individual costs incurred in obtaining the above treatments on separate days. All services are provided on site (day and night) thus reducing cost to patient and family considerably.
Clients may therefore pay for their treatment in the following ways:
50% upfront before admission and start of treatment and remaining 50% within 30 days
100% payment upfront
Cost of Treatment
This varies per patient and therefore will depend on the treatment package that will be prescribed by the physiatrist following a review of their medical records
Any problem by a sport, work accident etc, we welcome the chance to serve you.
